The existence of INTI College Indonesia was prompted by the monetary crisis around 1996 –1 998 when Indonesian students were facing financial problems to pursue their studies abroad. On one hand they were longing to get the best education possible, but on the other hand, the cost of studying overseas became very costly and not affordable. INTI College Indonesia, then, tried to offer a way out by providing different programs such as 3 + 0 program in Information Technology and 2 + 1 program in Commerce studies. In doing so, the College started collaborating with overseas partner universities. Therefore, the programs offered are affordable and yet they are internationally recognized.

INTI College Indonesia, one of INTI International Group of Colleges was established on 19 May, 2001, on Floor 15th, Gajahmada Tower, Central Jakarta. The establishment was opened by our CEO of INTI Head Quarters and witnessed by our respectable guests from Australian Embassy and high officials of Indonesian Education Department. The opening of the college became even more special by the coming of Mr. William Cooper, the academic director for overseas education, University of Wollongong, the best university of the year in Information Technology, in Australia.

At its inception, the College is committed to provide quality education to Indonesian students who are eager to obtain an internationally recognized qualification for their better future without leaving their country. Thirty four (34) students gave a good response by enrolling themselves in Foundation English Program. Most of them continued reenrolling in Information Technology. As time passed by, more students came and joined our College. The highest enrollment we have ever achieved is a hundred and seventy four (174) students. We believe more youngsters are coming to join their friends as we offer more programs and have more overseas universities collaborating with us.

INTI College Indonesia is consistent in its quest for excellence and expansion. To show our consistence, the College signed Memorandum of Agreement with The University of Adelaide on Tuesday, September 17, 2003. The signing was done by Mr. Sudino Lim, Managing Director of INTI College Indonesia, and Prof. Michael Yeo, Academic Project Asia of the University of Adelaide. To anticipate the consistent growth of the College, a much bigger campus was established in West Jakarta , on April 23, 2003. This campus can hold hundreds of students. Better facilities are provided to assist the students to develop themselves to a maximum extent. On Sunday, April 27, 2003 the College opened its franchise in Medan called International College Indonesia - Medan to cater students in the area. Besides that, we are going to branch out to 15 big cities in Indonesia up to year 2007 to accommodate big demands from students in the country. Certainly, more programs will be conducted and more collaborations will be extended as well .

Nowadays, INTI College Indonesia is more recognized for its quality educational programs and international academic standards. Through our study arrangements, twinning or advanced standing, the whole group of INTI College Indonesia participate in welcoming the challenges of globalization and enthusiastically make every effort to excel from GOOD TO GREAT.
