Whether it’s about the studies, personal concerns, need for assistance or simply a want for a sympathetic ear, warm and helpful counsellors are here.

Our society in general has changed. So much in the past few decade that educators have struggled to keep pace while technological innovations and social progressive movements have yielded many positive and exciting outcomes. The unintended consequences at times seem overwhelming. A rising level of poverty, Substance abuse, domestic and community violence are only a few of the major problems affecting mental health during the latter half of the 20th century. Society’s fast changes have resulted in a myriad of mental health dilemmas, an increasing trend toward mental and emotional problems in society and among students which leads them to loneliness, discouragement, doubt, grief, envy, violence, poverty, sickness, interpersonal tension and a variety of other personal problems. These are potential stumbling-blocks to students’ in studying. |
As so often has been the case governments and citizens have turned to the schools to help resolve social difficulties. Understanding these problems, INTI College Indonesia (ICI), as an International institution doesn’t teach only academics, but does so much more with a holistic approach to education.
Pastoral Care & Counselling Department staff are hand in hand with Administrative staff, Teaching staff and Support staff to see to remove barriers to educational development, career development, personal-social development of all students and would professionally like to help students discover and develop their educational potentialities, vocational potentialities, psychological potentialities and thereby to achieve an optimal level of their personal happiness and social usefulness.
